The journey so far…

My career in retail started as it should on the shop floor, where the magic happens, and the lessons are learnt. I grew from there to be a buyer, brand manager, buying manager and General Manager.

I’ve worked for high end retailers, global brands and volume fast fashion retailers, with my love for stores, retail trading and brand building growing with every new venture. However, it’s the people behind the stores and the brands that excite me.

I have a solid belief in building your brand from the base up, with the first and most important platform to build your people.

“My passion is strong, my happiness contagious and my laughter is loud – being able to collaborate with individuals, small businesses and organisations is what makes my heart sing”

Working with people to make their five days of a seven-day week amazing is a huge responsibility, that I have loved over the course of my career. Being able to achieve this then watching the results of the brand not only perform but explode is just magic. Happy people winning, could you ask for more?

Being in the retail industry for almost 20 years (I started when I was very young), I’ve seen the churn and burn that happens to brands that don’t have a strong foundation and value system. The fall out and lack of inspiration that then occurs to the people working within those brands needs no further explanation. Watching this over the years is what has inspired me to step out on my own and cast my net a little wider.

My passion is strong, my happiness contagious and my laughter is loud – being able to collaborate with individuals, small businesses and organisations is what makes my heart sing.  On a personal front without authenticity, transparency and the odd swear word I’d be lost.  Who I am is the same in all situations, from the boardroom to the couch, I am who I am and can’t be anyone else.

Family (conventional or urban), travel and adventure are values that shape the person I have become and pave my road ahead.  Excited that my possibilities are endless, with so much to celebrate along the way!
